What exactly is a facade plug?

The façade plug, also known as a frame plug, is a specialized plug that was developed for the secure installation of cladding and other components on the façade. Many façade anchors are not universally applicable and therefore cannot be used on all façades. This is not the case with our KTS F1 façade plug, as it ensures secure anchoring and a permanent hold in all types of façades . Our façade plug is absolutely specialized for its use. This means that you should not rely on a conventional anchor for your façade project, as this will not meet your requirements in terms of its function and possible applications. The KTS F1 façade anchor is the all-rounder among frame end anchors. With an anchoring depth of 70 mm, this anchor ensures durable and resilient installation in a wide variety of materials. For a timber façade construction, the façade plug is combined with a galvanized screw with a countersunk stainless steel head. If the façade substructure is made of metal, a screw with a hexagonal collar head is used. The variant with countersunk head screw for timber constructions ensures a flush screw connection in the timber. And for metal constructions, the hexagonal collar head variant provides separation in the thermal area. In addition to fastening, it serves as a separator between the stainless steel screw and the attachment, preventing moisture from penetrating and thus providing ideal thermal protection as well as a firm hold.
