The KTS ridge and hip batten holder is suitable for all pitched roof constructions. Thanks to its functional properties, it can be used both as a ridge batten holder and as a ridge batten holder for all standard roof batten dimensions. How is a ridge batten holder used?

The ridge batten holder is used to adjust and fix the ridge batten below the roof termination. It is therefore used to fasten and align one of the end modules on the roof. The ridge tiles, which form the upper end of the roof, are located on the ridge batten. A ridge or hip roll should be fitted between the ridge tile and ridge batten to ensure the important exchange of air. This keeps harmful moisture out of the roof. When attaching the ridge batten, it is important to align it precisely.

The flexibility of our ridge batten holder is an enormous advantage here. Its settings can be varied depending on the length of the screws used (which must be galvanized). This is not possible with most steel brackets. But thanks to our choice of polyamide material, you have a double advantage here. Like the ridge, the hip is at the upper end of the roof, the point where two sides of the roof meet and the counterpart to the eaves, the lower end of the roof, so to speak. Similar to the ridge, the hip also has a rafter (in this case the hip batten) which is used to hold the hip in place. This ridge batten must of course also be adjusted and fastened. Thanks to the high-quality polyamide, the ridge batten holder has additional advantages over a standard batten holder. The flexible and highly resilient material allows significantly higher tightening values than a normal bracket. This is made possible by the flexibility of the material. On the one hand, it can be tightened further than a rigid steel plate, but on the other hand it offers ideal flexibility despite the high load. This means that the bracket cannot be affected by strong wind forces or similar.
