Insulating dowel – IS-SIMPLY DRILLING
Fastenings without cold bridges and heat loss
Our insulating anchor is specially designed for use in plastered and pressure-resistant insulating materials. It ensures a firm and secure hold in all standard insulating materials. And without causing a cold bridge or heat loss.
Perfect insulation thanks to insulating dowels
Our insulating plug is suitable for installation in plaster and façade insulation. Pre-drill briefly into the plaster and then you can carefully screw or screw the plug into the insulation by hand or with a cordless screwdriver. Our insulation dowel can be used for secure fastening in any insulation material, from polystyrene and rigid foam boards to ETICS (thermal insulation composite systems).
Our dowel is ideal for fastening:
- Ring
- Mailboxes
- Cameras
- Outdoor lighting
The conical thread of the insulating plug ensures displacement within the soft building materials. The additional compression of the material guarantees a firm and secure hold. Made from high-quality polyamide, the insulating plug ensures a durable insulating effect. Existing sound insulation or vapor barriers are also retained. Ideally, use galvanized stainless steel screws in combination with the plug. This means you don’t have to worry about corrosion or rapid weathering of the screws. The dowel itself is very durable and will not weather.
How is the insulation plug used?
Specially designed for exterior façade insulation, the insulating plug is quick and easy to use. If the insulation is not plastered, the plug can simply be screwed into the material. It is important that there is a clean finish with the insulation material. Only then can the secure insulation be maintained. Ideally, you should also seal the edge of the dowel with silicone or sealing adhesive. This prevents the ingress of water and general moisture one hundred percent. If the insulation is under plaster, you must pre-drill the hole accordingly. The insulation plug can then simply be inserted into the pre-drilled hole and screwed into the insulation layer behind it. This simple handling not only ensures that your façade project retains its insulation, but also makes it a real piece of cake. We wish you every success with your next project and are sure that our products will provide you with excellent service. Because we and our anchors deliver what we promise!
