How is the insulation plug used?

Ideally, you should also seal the edge of the dowel with silicone or sealing adhesive. This prevents the ingress of water and general moisture one hundred percent. If the insulation is under plaster, you must pre-drill the hole accordingly. The insulation plug can then simply be inserted into the pre-drilled hole and screwed into the insulation layer behind it.
